ABOUT FORMULA
This cooling Ayurvedic sleep formula is traditionally used to address insomnia caused by excess heat, emotional intensity, and nervous system agitation—especially in Pitta-dominant individuals. According to Ayurveda, an overheated mind or liver can cause nighttime restlessness, early waking, hot flashes, and light sleep.

Rather than sedating the body, this formula calms and cools the nervous system, reduces internal heat, and gently supports the body’s own natural ability to enter and maintain deep rest.

ABOUT HERBS

  • Shankpushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis) – Traditionally used to calm mental overactivity, reduce circular thoughts, and promote clarity. Known in Ayurveda as a brain tonic that supports deep rest.

  • Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) – Mildly sedative, cooling, and soothing to both the mind and digestive tract. Used historically to promote emotional calm and gentle sleep.

  • Brahmi (Centella asiatica) – A revered Ayurvedic herb for cooling the mind and balancing Pitta-related anxiety, stress, and hyperfocus.

  • Jatamamsi (Nardostachys jatamansi) – A grounding herb that helps regulate emotional swings and reduces sensitivity to stress. Known in Ayurveda to support uninterrupted sleep.

  • Tagar (Valeriana wallichii) – One of Ayurveda’s strongest sedative herbs, helping induce deeper sleep while calming muscular and nervous tension.

  • Taruni (Rosa centifolia) – Cooling and heart-opening; traditionally used to reduce Pitta-induced irritability and emotional intensity at night.

  • Moti Pishti – A purified pearl mineral ash known in classical Ayurvedic texts to cool the heart, mind, and liver. Used to reduce emotional heat and night-time anxiety.

  • Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) – A gentle, long-acting sedative herb that supports deep and extended rest. According to traditional texts, nutmeg may take 3–4 hours to take effect, helping maintain uninterrupted sleep through the night.

Together, these herbs offer a synergistic cooling effect on the mind, heart, and nervous system—supporting sound sleep for those with Pitta-related restlessness.



HOW TO TAKE
Dosage:
– Take 1 to 2 teaspoons about 1 hour before bed on an empty stomach
– A second dose may be taken at bedtime or if waking in the night

How to Take:
– Mix with warm raw milk, almond milk, oat milk, or warm water
– Add 1 teaspoon of ghee to enhance absorption and herbal delivery
– Do not take with plain water only

Capsules:
– Take at least 4 capsules followed by a warm milk-based drink
– Capsules must be taken with fat for best absorption

Pair with or one or more of the following:
Sleep Tea – Mild herbal blend to deepen nighttime calm
Sleep Oil – Calming nighttime massage oil for better sleep
Relaxing Tea – Daily support for calming the nervous system

TIPS & NOTES
Dietary guidelines:
Follow a Pitta-pacifying diet: Avoid spicy, sour, oily, or salty foods, especially at night. Focus on cooling, bland, and lightly cooked meals with calming herbs like cilantro, fennel, or mint. Reduce caffeine and stimulants, and avoid eating after 7 PM.

Dietary changes are important for effective treatment and long-term nervous system support.
